damascus steel: beauty hidden in every layer

Damascus steel is a unique type of layered steel, known primarily for its distinctive pattern and combination of hardness and toughness. It is created by repeatedly folding and forging two or more types of steel, producing the characteristic wavy design. Each piece thus carries an original structure that is not only visually striking but also functionally durable.

Although Damascus steel has traditionally been associated mainly with blade making, its applications are much broader. Thanks to its pattern and pronounced material character, it is increasingly used in interior design – for example in handcrafted spoons, hooks, or small decorative elements.

In our forge, we work with this material respecting traditional techniques while also exploring new ways to use it. Each piece of Damascus steel can therefore be not only a functional object but also a bearer of artisanal aesthetics.
